A note from
our president to all LLRC members:
In order to continue to raise our profile amongst juniors we have been
advertising in the local schools a "Try Rowing" weekend on 14
and 15 May (Poster).
On each day between 10am and 3pm the intention is
that if any juniors turn up they will get an introduction to rowing
using a combination of ergos and boats. All club members are
invited to assist on either or both days (on water or in the boathouse)
and we will also take the opportunity to give the club a bit of a
spring clean. I'll bring a BBQ along so bring food to cook as
well if you want to eat! Thanks to Paul's efforts we have been
very successful in getting two new 2x's (one of which helped win one of
the three Gold medals the juniors gained at SPR last week) and running
an event of this type demonstrates our commitment to raising the
profile of the sport amongst juniors which was one element of the
justification put forward in the funding bid.
I look forward to your
